De Shawn started her healthcare career as a Director of Nursing before switching gears and earning her administrator’s license. While looking for the best location to grow her career, De Shawn did a lot of research. Based on its reputation with the local hospitals and also for quality care within the community – she applied to be the administrator of (now) Harmony Dubuque.

As an administrator, she prides herself on cultivating continued relationships with the local community, the hospital partners, and her fantastic staff. De Shawn says it is an honor to serve with a team with incredible tenure, many serving the community for over 20 years, with their most tenured employee in her 43rd year of employment.
